The Tragedy of Germanwings

The 27th of March of 2015 a plane crashed in the French Alps.

In the first moment, everyone thought that the plane had fallen because of the age of the plane, which was 24. This was an enormous tragedy because 50 people from Spain died in the precise moment in which the plane crashed.

The police did a great job trying to find the corpses, the belongings of the people and the most important of all, the black box, which reveals what really had happened. They found the first black box and all the speculations changed because they heard how the pilot left the cabin and a later sound of someone trying to open the door.

The airplane started to lose height but people did not notice. At first, the airplane slid on a mountain. In that moment, the first yells of people sounded and finally, they heard a great breath from Andreas Lubitz, who had psychological problems and was the guilty of that horrible tragedy.

The police found in his parents’ house some medicines, such as antidepressants, which means that he suffered a mental illness.

I recognize the great job of the police, the researchers and the psychologist that helped the families to understand what had happened.

  1. Do you know why the man was working even he had psychological problems?

  9. Have you heard some of the new measures they are to include after the accident? I think they are changing the law. In the cabin would have to be 2 people at any moment.

  10. That was horrible. I can't understand people like that. How can you be able of doing such a terrible thing? Luckily this won't happen again because from now on, there must be 2 people inside the cabin for sure.
